I love making my yearly wishlist at the beginning of the year. So here is My 2025 Wishlist. Is it realistic? Is it not? Who knows, but we’re going with it.
As it is still the beginning of the year, you know the drill by now. I cleared out my closet, identified some gaps that need to be filled, created my 2025 wishlist and I am ready to share it. I’ve mentioned this before, but as I’ve gotten older, I have found my style and learned from my shopping mistakes. I tend to make better purchases year after year.
This is my wishlist for this year, there is really nothing I’m not sharing here. I can’t say this will be the final one though. I constantly edit my list but I think I am almost done and any change will be minimal, like a swap in the same category. At least I think so, and I’m really interested in seeing how it all pans out.
I wanted this year to be the year that I buy fewer but big-ticket items (yikes). I needed a lot of basics in 2024 and I got them. But in 2025, I want some things I have been thinking about for a while. But the price point is so important as I consider the second-hand market. I need to find them at a reasonable price, otherwise they will have to wait. Most of the items on this list, aren’t necessities, so I’m in no rush.
This blog post is all about my 2025 Wishlist, what I need and want to buy this year.
CLOTHING
#1 SHEARLING TEDDY COAT
I have been wanting a full-length shearling teddy coat for a long time. I am very late into the teddy coat game, I never jumped on the bandwagon when every brand was making short jackets in this material (Aritzia, Alo, etc.). I think this is an important piece to have and wear casually on very cold days. I am eyeing the infamous coat from Max Mara, but I worry as it is very oversized and doesn’t have a belt to give it some structure. I also saw Toteme’s variation of this style, and loved the green color (more like a greyish khaki color), which I thought was very unique for this style, leather interior and belt. This coat has some nice details to it. I have to try both and maybe shop around at other brands before buying one.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know this was checked off my list. I purchased the Toteme coat during their seasonal final sale and I love it. It is so warm, I could wear a bra underneath and I’d be good.
#2 SHORT JACKETS
I love buying outerwear in general, it’s truly one of my weaknesses. If I find something of great quality, style, length, color, price, etc… I don’t need to think too much, because those are hard to come by, in my opinion. But I somehow don’t have short jackets, except for puffers and blazers. And have no idea how that happened. I want some casual options like maybe a barn jacket and something more versatile that I can wear day to night. I haven’t really shopped that much for this category, but I’m hoping to see some options for when Spring/ Summer seasons launch.
#3 LEATHER JACKET
I finally understood that having one leather jacket isn’t enough. What was I thinking? I’m not a maximalist by any means. But maybe because the leather moto jacket trend was finally put to rest and I see some great styles on the market thanks to Khaite, The Row, and Nour Hammour. I mean the list of leather jackets that I’m currently eyeing exceeds the total number of items on this list. I will have to spend some time trying them on and figuring out what I truly want and will actually wear. I need a black one, but I’m also curious about the shearling collared ones.
#4 POLO SWEATERS
Besides the polo sweaters people wear at their country clubs, the first time I saw and really wanted a polo sweater was at a Prada runway show I was watching. I can’t remember which season, but it was very old. Mrs Prada had styled a midi length skirt with a grey polo sweater. That look lives rent free in my head. I love juxtaposition and contrast, and this style was the epitome of that. I am on the lookout for polo sweaters with or without buttons. I think Khaite, and The Row does this style very well. But I might try high street for this too, as long as the fabric composition is of good quality.
#5 SETS
Whether it’s more of a summery set with a shirt and shorts, or a suit that I can wear year-round when I want to look put together. I love a matching top and bottom. It looks so elevated, but also relaxed depending on how you accessorize your outfit. I love a silk set with a pattern that you can dress up or down. I also need a suit, preferably in black.
#6 LEATHER SKIRTS
I do not have a single leather skirt in my closet at this point, and I really want to have a short and midi skirt. Both are more for Fall & Winter, so I have plenty of time. I want the short skirt in dark brown and the midi in black leather. I have many brands in mind for this. But I also don’t really want to splurge on leather skirts. I know, Khaite has a beautiful brown leather skirt. I will be visiting Massimo Dutti when I go to Europe this summer, so we’ll see what they have.
#7 WHITE LINEN DRESS
This has been on my list for a long time and I have ordered plenty of white linen dresses every summer season for the past years, but they weren’t what I was looking for. I want a super simple white short linen dress with a boat neck. The material has to be thick enough not to be see through. Maybe this year will be the year I finally find one, who knows.
SHOES
#8 CHELSEA BOOTS
I need Chelsea boots so badly. I was having a lot of issues with the boots I purchased over the years, whether it was the stiff leather or the heel that didn’t feel comfortable. I would find them uncomfortable and avoid wearing them. So, I sold a bunch. I am currently considering Toteme’s city boots, Khaite’s Nevada Stretch Low Boot, as well as the Andee Ankle Boot. All those boots have very comfortable heels, soft leather (Toteme’s may be the hardest to break in), and interesting colors and material. I think Khaite does shoes very well.
#9 BLACK CLASSIC LOAFER
I invested in a brown Gucci loafer, the Jordaan this past year and it was a great purchase. It ended up on my top 10 purchases of the year. I was shocked at how comfortable it was but I also realized what I had been missing out on in my closet. A classic loafer. I think I want to have one in black this year. There are some options from Gucci, but also The Row makes a beautiful loafer in Eel skin. I have to say, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the heel for some reason, nor the price. I’ve accepted the heel, now I’m working on the price. I also want to try out other styles from Gucci. I was so impressed with my Jordaans, perhaps I might try out another style from their heritage styles.
#10 MARY JANES
I have been on the lookout for Mary Janes for quite some time since last summer. I have tried on several pairs from The Row, Valentino, Chanel and quite frankly none of them checked all my boxes. I want a pair that is made out of soft but sturdy leather with a comfortable sole and heel that I can walk many blocks in the city in. I will continue to shop around to figure out what’s out there.
BAGS
#11 CLASSIC TOP HANDLE BAG
First of all, isn’t it great that I have just two bags on this list. Someone please come pat me on my shoulder. There is no guarantee that I will end the year with just two purchases, just saying. They say it’s good to have insight though.
It’s been an interesting discovery, that I actually really like and use top handle bags at the crook of my arm. The Row Lady Bag and Phoebe Philo Small Cabas bag really tested me this past year. They were both my most used handbags. There are a number of top handle bags here Celine Eyelet bag, The Row Sofia Bag, Jil Sander Goji bag, and Hermes Kelly Bag. The color and hardware combinations are endless. Equally important though is the price point. I am not going to baby these bags and if I were to purchase them full price, that is what’s going to happen. I was so lucky in 2024 with second-hand purchases, let’s see how well we do in 2025.
#12 TRAVEL BAG
I’m going to call this a travel bag, because that’s what I need it for the most. A rectangular shaped bag, preferably with shoulder straps and zipper. I want to put an end to traveling with tote bags that aren’t secure and things just spill out. I went through a phase of selling my Longchamp bags that were more on the pricier side because I realized that they all eventually wear out in the corners no matter how well you take care of them. But I think the very basic Le Pliage is a great bag to have and use just (or primarily) for traveling. I am considering the large size with shoulder straps vs their travel version in the small size. I also really like the Intecciato Arco Tote from Bottega Veneta. It took me a minute to appreciate this bag.

ACCESSORIES
#13 SUNGLASSES WITH CHARACTER
I’m not much of a sunglasses collector to be honest. I have one in my work out bag, because I can’t imagine walking down the street and realizing I didn’t bring them. I have one that I wear when I’m out and about, and that’s really it. But there is a shape I’ve been considering and it’s the old era Céline cat eye style. Phoebe Philo recreated it as part of her line, which is quite famous. Saint Laurent has a pair that is a cross between those from Philo and Ray-Bans, in my opinion at least. I’d say less intense and more boyish. If you saw Gwyneth Paltrow’s Saint Laurent ad, you know what I’m talking about.
#14 CARTIER TANK WATCH
I’ve had this item on my Pinterest wish list for almost two years now. It’s not a small purchase by any means, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t sick of it. I tried this on not long ago, and all I can say is that it is truly timeless, beautiful, and chic… But because I want it in yellow gold, the price point is just too high. I am considering buying a vintage piece or at least from the second-hand market, but buying watches isn’t like buying luxury handbags or shoes, it requires knowledge and a skillset that I don’t have. I may have to learn about vintage watches if I want to save on this purchase. I do not have a solid plan yet but for now the watch is on my list.
#15 GOLD JEWELRY
Ok, this is a bit up in the air. I really love Tiffany & Co’s style, there is something very elegant but also a simplicity that allows you to wear their pieces on the regular. Paloma Picasso and Elsa Peretti have designed some of my favorite pieces. With the enormous time I spend on Tiffany & Co’s website, there are many pieces I have been eyeing. I haven’t had luck finding the pieces I want during my visit to the store yet. Either the size or preferred metal was not available. The price of gold is on the rise, and I expect their prices to keep going up. Certainly not rushing, but it might be smart to pick up something sooner rather than later.
