UNIQUE CHRISTMAS GIFTS 2023

 

It’s the season! We are all making our lists and buying those gifts! So what are the most Unique Christmas Gifts for 2023. Let’s talk.

 

 

I love buying friends and family gifts I know they will enjoy. But I hate waste just as much. There are a few strategies to help reduce waste. I think it’s important to know the person you’re buying a gift for, perhaps include the gift receipt for them to feel free exchanging, and finally buy something practical that they could put to use.

 

 

This post is everything about some of the most unique Christmas gifts for 2023, you can buy your coworkers, friends, and family.

 

 

CANDLES

Candles, especially good quality candles can make a wonderful gift. In this category, there are a few honorable mentions. In my opinion, the best are Diptyque, and LAFCO. They smell great, but also last a long time. For a less hefty price tag, consider ILLUME and Voluspa. Diptyque has a range of scents, each better than the other, my favorite is Baies. As I write this today, LAFCO is running a 25% discount with code CYBER25. My favorite scent from their collection is the Feu de bois. I have been introduced to ILLUME through Anthopologie, I stock up when they have a Sale on Sale. But you can find those at a discount at Whole Foods, Walmart and other third-party companies. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love White Winter. It’s sweet and lovely for this season. The large jar containers from Voluspa come in beautiful glass containers and last a long time. My favorite scent is Panjore Lychee. You can find those on sale during the Sephora bi-annual sales.

 

 

BOOKS

Books make such a great gifts. Although at first it may seem like a difficult category, I assure you it is not. If you are unsure what the person you’re buying a gift to has on their reading list, pick a self-improvement book. Anything from Atomic Habits to The Psychology of Money. Or a new biography that’s out and popular. For those who like to cook or want to learn how to make food from a specific cuisine, why not gift them a cookbook? So many great ones out there. I think gifting a book is a very thoughtful act.

 

 

WIRELESS EARPHONES

For the friends who never upgraded to wireless earphones, this is an easy one. If you already have wireless earphones, you remember the first time you switched from a wired to a wireless pair and how freeing that was? That’s how great the person you’re gifting this to will feel. The options online are endless. Beats and Bose have gained great popularity over Airpods as of late. They come at a more affordable price point.

 

 

LIP PRODUCTS: BALMS & MASKS

Winter is upon us and we’re all going to be using lots and lots of lip products. If you love and swear by a product, why not gift it to your friends? I have gifted a combo of fresh lip scrub, Cay Skin Lip Mask and Biossance Lip Balm. And I have seen peoples’ eyes light up. Everyone can use a good lip product. You can buy these with a heavy discount during Sephora sales.

 

 

HAND CREAMS

This category is also universal. Everyone loves a good hand cream, especially in small sizes, making them easy to carry. I have used several of these Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream, Nécessaire The Hand Cream, L’Occitane Hand Cream. You can buy these individually or in holiday sets at (you guessed it) Sephora.

 

 

SOAP & PAPER FACTORY

This is one of my favorite stores for gifts during this season. You can find them at Bryant Park and Union Square at the Holiday markets. You can find a variety of pine scented things and more. I have tried their candles, diffusers, hand creams and soaps – all pine scented. They are such high quality, women owned business, made in NY – all good things.

 

 

PLANNERS

Your organized friends probably have a planner for next year. But for those who keep complaining about missing deadlines, not being able to accomplish what they said they would do; it’s a good gift. You can find options at FRINGE, Staples, Rifle Paper Co. Some collaborations are exclusive to Anthropologie, which is where I have bought all of my planners.

 

 

SÉZANE JEWELY AND BOX

I find jewelry at Sézane to be very unique and different from other stores. They are a bit pricier, but of better quality so it is worth it. You can buy any jewelry piece from the store, you can also add a travel size Jewelry box for an additional 35 USD. They are super cute, some of them are in velvet and solid colors. They come in very handy.

 

 

PERFUMES

This is a pretty personal gift. You generally have to know the person pretty well to gift them a perfume. But there are some strategies to help you here. If you know the brand that they like, you can pick a scent from that line. Or if you know the types of scents they usually go for, you can pick something new but similar for them. Or if you know that they want to explore new scents, you can find something different for them to try. Sephora has a Perfume Sampler Set you can buy, and have them try out all 16 scents and then be able to get a full-size fragrance from Sephora at zero cost. This is a very practical way to gift someone a perfume of their choice.

 

 

TIFFANY & CO.

For a very unique gift – you might have a bigger budget. Still on the not so high side, Tiffany & Co. has a less than 1550 USD section on their website. I have been eyeing these for a while now – Tiffany T T1 Ring, Tiffany T Circle Pendant Necklace, and the Tiffany Signature Pearls Earrings. All of these items are 1550 USD or less in 18K yellow gold, if that’s your thing. Silver is more affordable as always.
